Startup:
This is the defining moment! Does it go? Yes it does! And
since I couldn't tak a screen shot at startup, here is a
picture I grabbed with my camera of the all-new, totally spectacular GREY startup bar! Sorry I couldn't focus better. In a way, it's a good thing the blue was getting on my nerves. There was also no annoying startup orchestra noise.

Whats First:
When you first run Windows .net Server 2003, you will be prompted to manage your server. This is so cool! I though running a server took some knowledge!
The Ever Popular Start Bar: After I closed the happy server wizard, I first looked for the start bar. There it was, right where it should be, but it didn't look like I expected, it was somewhat flat and lacking in the joyous appearance we've com to expect from MS products. The start menu all seemed abit, bare. I know! There's no "My [foldername here]" I did check though, for the two of you who use them, they are still there. MS has finally learned to clean up their litter.

Exploring Explorer:
Next I decided to check and see what a folder in a window looked like, boy was I supprised! Every thing you may want to see about your files is already there! and in a viewable format. I think MS finally found a good set of defualts.

Folder Options: Naturally, I though that there was something morethan just haveing the defualts of your folder reset . Boy was I wrong!
There are now even less options for your folders to be displayed with. Now you can also choose the details of your displayed files! They'res not many of them, but it's better than nothing. Looks like MS found Be's file structure and wants some of it.

Control Panel:
Not much to see here....

Administrative Tools:
I got tired of seeing the "new features" in the explorer windows, so I decided to poke around in the "administrative tools" menu, that MS has helpfully put a link to directly in the startbar! This is the SERVER edition you know...... But there is some extra stuff that I never seen before: The Load Balancer, The .Net Wizards, and Cluster Administrator (Beowulf on Windoze?!?!?)

.Net Configuration and Wizards:
These next two did catch mine eye, but the first is ust a wizard for the second. The second does not hold your hand as much when you're harmessing the power of your new .Net Frame work!

Shutting Down:
I soon grew tried of this powerful server and decided to turn it off. But wait, why would you ever want to turn off Windows? At least thats what I was aked, and had to answer, before I could shut down (properly). I lied and told it I was going to perform a
planned hardware installation (HA!)

Overall:
There was really nothing much to be impressed with.
Except for the fact that it can charge you ove the internet for
license, and connection fees. But If you want something that can keep
up with Windows XP, but doesn't look like the designers where people
who got laid off from Fisher Price. This may be the OS for you. All the Windows script kiddies will also flock to this because" 1334" people have thier own server. IMHO: Stick with *nix\MAC\BSD\What-ever-have-ye.
